Red Auditorium

The Red Auditorium. An homage to Grauman's Chinese theater, the home of so many iconic premieres and awards ceremonies.

This is the largest of our ten auditoriums. There is a large hundred year old carved wall panel as you enter next to a terra cotta statute of a General reproduced from those found in the Qin Dynasty architectural digs in Xian Province. This room features some great stuff ranging from 26-foot-tall palm trees to full size Chinese New Year’s parade dragons. The 8 foot tall gold & bronze Temple Dogs under the screen were imported from Beijing. The large medallions hanging in front of the stage curtains were restored here, but were found dirty and dilapidated in a rear storeroom of a local Chinese antique store and are thought to be about 200 years old. The 24-foot-long framed “Nine Manchurian Dragons” on the back wall was carved in Taiwan and hand painted here. Above the panel is our own Chinese Palace with a century old Chinese gong, antique sculpted wall panels, a pair of giant palace jars wrapped in gold dragons, lots of authentic Chinese lanterns, bells, temple dogs, murals and a 150 year old carved wood arch over a gold Buddha centerpiece to round out our oriental fantasy.
